The terms of our hosting are rather simple:

1) We will provide email support for matters that pertain to the hosting of your website. This would include questions pertaining to the functionality, navigation, features of your Cpanel, ftp issues, questions on setting up email accounts, etc. Support relating to your web pages is available at an additional cost. You will be responsible for the maintaining and updating of your web pages (We do not fix broken web pages).

The fee for web site customization or repair is $60.00 an hour with a half hour minimum.

2) Though we do provide nightly backups of all files on our network, we strongly recommend that you backup your files. We are not responsible for lost files or data.

3) We are a firm believer in freedom of speech, however we do not allow any adult (pornographic) material to be accessed from our servers.

4) Hosting is provided on a month to month basis (unless you are on an annual plan) with payments due on the 1st of every month. Accounts that reach 15 days past due will be suspended until paid, which means ftp and CPanel access will denied as well as public access to your web pages. An account that reaches 30 days past due will be considered inactive. When an account becomes inactive, the account and all related files & web pages will be deleted from our servers. Because we provide hosting on a month to month basis we do not pro-rate refunds should you cancel your account anytime during the month.

Suspended or deactivated accounts: When an account becomes suspended or deactivated due to non-payment there is a $25.00 setup charge to reactivate the account and website. In the past we have been extremely lenient on this issue, however it is necessary to charge for our time to research, reactivate and configure a website which was suspended or deactivated.  

 

5) Technical support is available through our help desk by clicking here. To use our helpdesk you will need to create a unique username and password. You can use this link for billing questions also, or you can send an email with your question to accounting@soundhosting.net

5) Overages: if you find that you are receiving more traffic than your plan will handle, you have the option of upgrading to a higher plan anytime during the month. If you do not upgrade an overage charge of $5 per 1gig of transfer will be invoiced with a 1gig minimum. Should you find that our hosting packages do not meet your specific requirements we can put a custom plan together that will fit your needs.

6) SPAMMING: we have a ZERO tolerance for spamming complaints. If we receive a spam complaint your account and related files will IMMEDIATELY be deleted from our servers. This is a tough policy but a necessary one due to the legislation that is pending (and passed) at both the state and federal level, and also due to the fact that our server IP addresses can be "blackholed" if action is not taken. This effectively takes down not only YOUR site, but potentially the entire server that your site resides on.
